installation guide and Work Parametrics – self-drilling screw B-Metel

  1. Simone and the Intrusive Point: It is recommended to make a slight mark on the fabric (in the help of emphasis) at the intended infiltration point. This action concentrates the tip of the screw knife and prevents the skating on the Nerosta or the steel surface.
  2. Selecting a work tool and the screw: You can be able to convert the BUTO screws through a professional and appropriate Impette screw. Constant pressure and straight line (at 90 degrees) should be taken to the raw material to prevent distortion or beer.
  3. Speed and Workman: Adjusting the rotation speed (RPM) is critical for the success of the direct drilling:
    • The drilling speed is recommended in steel: 1000 - 1800 rm.
    • The drilling speed is recommended in the snort: 600 - 1000 rm.
    • Maximum drilling time is permitted: up to 11 seconds.
    • Maximum installation: 6.2 Newton-meter (Nm).
  4. The end of the tight and stop: The screwing operation should be stopped immediately with the screwhead or the ski to the profile. If you combine an atmospheric from EPDM, it is toada that it is constantly and completely eclectically snoring the water, but not snoring or twisted.

Common Questions and Answers (FAQ) – self-drilling screw stainless and methel

What is self-drilling screw B-Telel and why is it considered the leading solution for thick steels?

self-drilling screw in Me-Tel It is a screw produced in advanced Technology that converts two different metals together: the screw and the Bundrigor are made of a numerita (such as SS304) which gives the resistance perfect tocorrosion and rust, while the end of the screw and the drilling knife may be made of highly complex and difficult carbon steel (C1035). This combination allows it to drill directly into difficult and thick steels without the knife being played or broken, while providing a long-term solution that is not rusty.

What conditions and details should be used in the self-drilling screw stainless ADIT BAUTO?

It is mandatory to use the product as self-drilling screw stainlessia BAUTO In all applications of the West, high humidity, proximity to the sea (aggressive marine environment) or chemical industry. In addition, in connection with aluminum elements for profiles, using the screw steel will simply cause a destructive global corrosion that will break the connection; using the screw stainlessa B-Tel completely prevents this phenomenon and protects the structure.

Is self-drilling screw stainless steel really capable of stabbing the steel of 12 mm without pre-industry?

Yes, certainly. Series series ADIT BAUTO An engineering plan with a long and powerful drilling knife in 16 mm. This mechanical structure allows the screw to carry out direct and effective drilling in steel or thick aluminum in the range of between 2 mm and 12 mm thick, without any need to prepare a hole or use external drill bits on the ground.

What is the recommended speed and temperament for BAUTO screws to prevent a failure in installation?

To prevent the breaking of the drilling knife or its erosion, work with a screwing appropriate depending on the oxidative material: working on the steel profile should be aimed at a speed of 1000–1800 rpm, and working on the stainless profile should work at a lower speed of 600–1000 rpm. Also, make sure not to pass the maximum tight alignment of 6.2 Nm and not to exceed a continuous drilling time of 11 seconds.

What is the importance of a EPDM ety in the Ismgic and cobbled bars?

When directly drilling into tins, isolated panels or external wall coverings, the screw creates a metal crossing that can regulate rainwater and flames into the structure. BAUTO screws that combine EPDM return reach a special rubber disc that is exceptionally resistant to UV radiation and difficult weather conditions. When the correct idioc, rubber is swayed in a rhetorical manner around the hole and completely prevents water penetration.

What is the difference between a typical failure load (N)rk(N) The poor (NN)rd(Songed in the Adit tables?

Typical failure load (N)rk() Represents the maximum load point in which the connection or screw is damaged and broken during destructive laboratory tests. In contrast, the load is yes (N)rd() is the safe value used for actual engineering calculations, and is obtained after dividing the failed load on strict safety centers according to international standards. It is not possible to plan project construption directly according to the failure load.

What is a Bi-Metal Self-Drilling Screw?

A bi-metal screw joins two metals in one fastener: a stainless-steel body for corrosion resistance and a hardened carbon-steel drill point welded to it, so it can drill straight into steel – something plain stainless is too soft to do. The ADIT BAUTO is the bi-metal version of the AUTO girder screw: the same heavy-duty drilling of thick steel, with the corrosion resistance needed outdoors and by the sea.

The advantage: the drilling power of a carbon-steel girder screw with the corrosion resistance of stainless – one fastener that cuts into thick steel and survives coastal and humid environments.

BAUTO has an SS304-C1035 stainless body with a hardened carbon-steel no. 5 girder point and an Atlantis C3-H coating. In the single ST 5.5 diameter it drives into steel and aluminium profiles up to 12 mm thick, in lengths from 40 to 100 mm, and an EPDM sealing washer can be added to any length for weather-tight fixings. For standard dry, indoor work the zinc-plated AUTO is the economical choice.

Applications

Coastal & marine steelwork

Girder and heavy-steel fixings by the sea, where a zinc-plated screw would rust.

Steel girders & sections

Fastening to IPN/IPE, HEB and UNP girders and thick structural steel – up to 12 mm in one pass.

Façades & cladding

Exterior cladding and architectural steelwork that must stay corrosion-free.

Aluminium profiles

Drives into aluminium as well as steel; the datasheet gives load values for each base material.

Insulated & sandwich panels

Panel and cladding fixings in humid conditions; add an EPDM washer for a weather-tight seal.

Roofing in exposed sites

Profiled sheet and panels fixed to thick steel purlins in coastal or humid locations.

Installation Guide

1 · Mark & position

Mark the entry point with a light tap, and hold the screw perpendicular (90°) to the profile.

2 · Set the speed

Use a high-speed screwdriver – 1000–1800 rpm in steel (600–1000 rpm in stainless). Excessive speed can burn the drill point.

3 · Drill through

Let the carbon-steel drill point cut fully through before the thread engages; keep the total thickness within the drill-point length.

4 · Seat & finish

Stop as the screw seats against the profile (max. torque approx. 6.2 Nm) – do not overtighten. With an EPDM washer, compress until the seal just spreads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between BAUTO and AUTO?

Both are ST 5.5 girder screws that drill thick steel up to 12 mm. AUTO is carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish, for standard dry, indoor work. BAUTO is bi-metal – an SS304 stainless body with a hardened carbon-steel drill point and an Atlantis C3-H coating – for corrosive, coastal, humid and outdoor environments.

What does “bi-metal” mean?

The screw combines a stainless-steel body (for corrosion resistance) with a hardened carbon-steel drill point (for cutting through steel). Plain stainless is too soft to drill hard steel, so the bi-metal design gives you both properties in one fastener.

How thick a profile can BAUTO drill and fasten?

Up to 12 mm of steel (or aluminium) in a single pass, in the ST 5.5 diameter, in lengths from 40 to 100 mm. The datasheet gives the load values for each base material.

What is the difference between Nrk and Nrd?

Nrk is the characteristic failure load – the load at which the connection physically fails in destructive testing. Nrd is the design load the engineer uses: Nrk divided by the safety factors required by the relevant standard. Always design with Nrd. The datasheet lists Nrk, Nrd and recommended (Nrec) values for steel and aluminium.
