SZ dynamic anchor: heavy-duty shear and tension
SZ is a heavy-duty arrow anchor for shear and tension, designed for dynamic loading. It carries European ETA1 approval for cracked and non-cracked concrete and seismic approval C1-C2, and is additionally covered by a VdS approval for sprinkler and fire-protection systems.
Available in three heads
The series is supplied in three heads — SLPC, SLPT and SLPE — so the head can be matched to the application without giving up any of the approvals. This lets the same approved anchor body serve a wide range of fixings while keeping a single, consistent design basis.
Approvals and standards
- European ETA1: approved for both cracked and non-cracked concrete, the most demanding category for post-installed anchors.
- Seismic C1-C2: qualified for seismic design categories C1 and C2 for use in earthquake-resistant structures.
- Dynamic loading: tested for loads that vary over time — vibration and cyclic loading — not only static loads.
- Fire rating: rated for fire-exposure conditions.
- VdS sprinkler approval: recognised for fixing sprinkler and fire-protection pipework.
Typical applications
- Structural steel and heavy fixings subject to shear and tension
- Machinery bases and equipment exposed to vibration and cyclic loads
- Sprinkler and fire-protection pipe supports (VdS)
- Seismic-rated connections in concrete structures
