Park & Ride Car Park, Jerusalem – Chemfix200 for rebar dowels and TFE concrete screws for formwork
Two complementary solutions were used at the Park and Ride car park in Jerusalem: Chemfix200 chemical adhesive for rebar dowels, and the TFE concrete screw to fix formwork. The distinction between them is permanent versus temporary. A bonded dowel stays part of the structure and is assessed on long-term stress transfer into the concrete; a formwork fixing only has to hold through the pour, so what governs it is installation speed, removability, and leaving the least possible damage in concrete that stays exposed.
