Microsoft, Herzliya – anchoring into a spancrete slab with TFE concrete screws, safety secured with BTeye eye-bolts
At Microsoft’s Herzliya offices the fixings into the spancrete (hollow-core precast) slab use the TFE concrete screw, with BTeye eye-bolts securing the workers. A spancrete slab is not solid concrete: it contains longitudinal voids, and the thickness of concrete above the void is limited. Drilling depth is therefore governed by the geometry of the plank rather than by the anchor’s requirement, and the position of the hole relative to the void is a design input — not a site detail.
