Yarkon Cemetery, Petah Tikva – stone cladding plugs and chemical adhesives
At the Yarkon Cemetery in Petah Tikva the stone cladding was fixed with dedicated cladding plugs, alongside chemical adhesives for rebar dowels. Stone cladding is among the most sensitive uses of a fastening: the load itself is small, but failure is brittle and at height, and the connection is exposed to temperature cycling and to relative movement between the stone and the frame. The governing criterion is therefore not short-term capacity but long-term behaviour — corrosion, adhesive creep and thermal movement.
