Negev Mall, Be’er Sheva – securing existing cladding stones with PS/PSZ direct-threading screws
At the Negev Mall in Be’er Sheva the existing cladding stones were secured with PS/PSZ direct-threading screws. Reinforcing existing cladding is a different problem from a new installation: the stone is already in place, there is no access to its back face, and the condition of the original fixing is often unknown. A direct-threading screw allows the stone to be drilled through and pinned back to the structure without applying expansion pressure that could split the stone itself — and without stripping and re-installing an entire facade.
