Overview

The ADIT ATR is a metric threaded rod (stud) for chemical (bonded) anchoring. It is supplied in one-metre lengths, cut to size on site, and then bonded into the drilled hole with an injected ADIT resin. ATR is the answer wherever a cast-in bolt is not available — fixing steelwork, brackets, handrails, base plates and machinery into concrete and solid masonry. It is available in three steel grades (4.8, 8.8 and 10.9) and in two protective finishes, zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanized, so the rod can be matched to both the load requirement and the exposure environment.

What is ATR threaded rod used for?
ATR is used for chemical anchoring where no cast-in bolt is available. The rod is bonded into a drilled hole with an injected ADIT resin to fix steelwork, brackets, handrails, base plates and machinery into concrete and solid masonry.
Which grades and diameters are available?

How is ATR installed?
Drill and clean the hole, cut the one-metre rod to the required length, inject the ADIT chemical resin into the hole, then insert the rod with a twisting motion and leave it undisturbed for the resin’s full curing time before loading.
Which finish should I choose?
Zinc-plated rods suit dry internal conditions; hot-dip galvanized rods give much greater corrosion protection for external and damp environments. For a full design matched to your loads and exposure, talk to our engineers.
